SpaceX IPO to Cost $1.75 Trillion

According to the latest data, SpaceX is preparing for the largest initial public offering in history, which is expected on the Nasdaq stock exchange (under the symbol SPCX) in mid-June 2026.

To be absolutely precise with financial terminology, the $1.75 trillion to $1.8 trillion according to analysts is not the “cost” of the offering, but the targeted total market cap valuation that the company is estimated to receive upon its listing. The funds it is actually seeking to raise from investors, the size of the issue itself, are estimated at around $75 billion.

SpaceX is no longer evaluated by the markets simply as a space launch company. Its valuation is based on three main pillars, which essentially form an umbrella company for multiple technology industries.

Starlink: It is the real financial engine of the company. In 2025, it generated $11.4 billion, accounting for 61% of SpaceX’s total revenue, and now serves over 10 million subscribers worldwide via a network of ~9,600 satellites.

Artificial Intelligence AI: The integration of xAI has turned SpaceX into a major player in AI infrastructure. The company is burning billions to build massive supercomputers like the Colossus data centers and is already renting computing power to companies like Anthropic for billions.

The launch monopoly: The development of the Starship system and the company’s dominance in commercial flights are securing it huge, long-term contracts with the US government and military.

The economic reality

Despite massive total revenue of $18.7 billion for 2025, a 33% increase from the previous year, SpaceX recorded a net loss of $4.94 billion and another $4.28 billion in the first quarter of 2026 alone. The company is sacrificing short-term profitability to finance the colossal infrastructure required by the artificial intelligence race.
